This year Mikrotech prepared a nice surprise for the children of its employees for Children’s Day. Inflatable attractions, cotton candy, music, refreshments. The sun was smiling that day and we believe that the children enjoyed the fun to the fullest.
Our company is actively involved in the development of education in the region, where it supports the Secondary Vocational School of Mechanical Engineering in Považská Bystrica through the Employers’ Cluster.
Together with the founding members, another major engineering company, Bonfiglioli Slovakia s.r.o., has decided to support this project. We all believe that quality education will enable young people to find a path of self-realization and not to have to travel outside Slovakia to find work and find a job where they grew up.
More and more customers are coming to us with the request to deliver parts “finished”, i.e. with different surface finishes. These are provided by more or less distant suppliers of surface finishes. The new electric Toyota Proace helps us to transport larger quantities of parts, allowing more comfortable loading and unloading.
Handling technology is an essential part of a manufacturing company. Not only from a safety point of view, its renewal is essential. We have added a new Jungheinrich electric forklift to our material storage.
St. Nicholas did not forget us in Mikrotech this year either. A gift for every employee and also refreshments and punch evoked the Christmas atmosphere again after a year.
In a constant effort to keep up with the demands of the modern market, we have invested in the purchase of another new STAR SV-20R CNC lathe from Star Micronics.
This comprehensive CNC lathe offers material machining up to a maximum bar diameter of 20 mm, control of up to 12 axes and high precision and flexibility in the production of more complex components
The SV-20R is ideal for the demanding series production of smaller components where every detail is critical. Thanks to this technology, we can speed up production, increase productivity and maintain the highest machining quality.
On 24 September 2025, we participated in the Czech-Slovak Business Forum 2025 at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Žilina, where 78 companies – 58 from Slovakia and 20 from the Czech Republic and other countries – met. The participants had almost 260 bilateral meetings, which brought new contacts and opportunities for cooperation.
The forum was jointly opened by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Slovakia Rudolf Jindrák, Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of the Czech Republic Petr Darmovzal, Chairman of SOPK Žilina Pavol Vitek and representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Jiří Dvořňák.
The event was prepared by the Slovak Agency for Investment and Trade Development (SARIO) within the framework of the National Project 2 – Support for the Internationalisation of SMEs, which helps Slovak small and medium-sized enterprises to grow, expand and find new export opportunities.
